I think I’m paying the taxman too much

Taxes fund the shared services we all use – roads, hospitals, schools and the like – but there are times when it would be nice to pay a little less to our friends in Canberra.

As the late Kerry Packer famously said in 1991: "Of course I am minimising my tax, and if anybody in this country doesn't minimise their tax they want their heads read", going on to note that the government wasn't spending it well enough to deserve any extra.

We don't believe that you should choose an investment purely for a tax break. However, if we can help you make wise choices that build long-term wealth AND carry ongoing tax advantages, then the strategy starts to tick a few required boxes.

Possible approaches include salary sacrificing more into superannuation, restructuring assets to be more tax efficient, and a range of other options in between.
